Tetris arranges Tetriminos to create complete lines: clear lines, earn points, and avoid stacking to the top. Create multiple lines at once with as many points.

Specifically about Tetris

The objective of Tetris is to manipulate different geometric shapes, called Tetriminos, as they fall down the playing field. The Tetriminos are made up of four connected squares, arranged in various configurations.

The player must rotate and move the falling Tetriminos to create horizontal lines without any gaps. When a complete line is formed, it disappears, and you earns points.

As the game progresses, the Tetriminos fall faster, making it more challenging to arrange them and clear lines. If the stack of Tetriminos reaches the top of the playing field, the game ends, and the player's score is recorded.

Tetris is a timeless classic, captivating players with its addictive gameplay, catchy music, and intuitive controls. It has left a lasting impact on popular culture and inspired countless puzzle games. Its design is widely praised and admired.

How to control Tetriminos

  • Left/Right Arrow Keys or A/D Keys: Move the falling Tetrimino horizontally left or right.
  • Up Arrow Key or W Key: Rotate the falling Tetrimino.
  • Down Arrow Key or S Key: Accelerate the downward fall of the Tetrimino (known as "soft fall").
  • Spacebar: Instantly drops the Tetrimino to the bottom (known as "hard drop").

These controls allow players to manipulate and position the Tetriminos effectively within the playing field to clear lines and achieve higher scores.
